DJ BOOTSIE

DJ Bootsie

Bootsie has become renowned for playing a unique style of intelligent, well produced dance music, at such venues and events as Space Lab Yellow (Tokyo), Pacha (London), Serious (Hanover Grand), The Cultural Music Festival (Luxembourg),The Mazatlan Carnaval (Mexico), KHz (The End, London), Headstart, Metrogroove, and The Gallery, (Turnmills, London), 16mm (The Dogstar), Heaven (London), The Soundshaft (London) and Babuska.

In Febuary 02' Bootsie was asked to play one of London's most highly regarded night's, "Prologue" @ The Cross Club, Kings Cross. After playing his set he was approached by the promoter and asked to become one of the resident dj's. Since then he has wowed the crowd each month with his music and is building a great following due to his, quote:

"Fun and positive attitude toward music". (Time Out 04/02)

In 2001 Bootsie was commissioned to co-compile and mix a series of cd's for the
Bar de lune label. This was followed up by a uk promotional tour and a set on the internet radio station Groovetech. The set can be downloaded from the archive files @ www.groovetech.com. More guestslots on Groovetech have followed which has resulted in Bootsie being named as a new weekly resident for 2003.

Also in 03' Bootsie has started a monthly mix slot in Mexico on the Mazatlan radio station EXA 29.7fm.

The L'Apericlub series has gone on to sell in excess of 50,000 copies worldwide. With Steve D, Bootsie has already put together another two cd's for Bar de lune with two more due for release in 03'.

Steve D

Growing up on the south coast of England a young Steve D was brought up on a diet of hip hop and traveller parties. "We used to just turn up and play" say's Steve when talking about the Dorset and Somerset traveller parties of the early 90's.

In 96' Steve moved to London and started working for Beechwood music which meant dj'ing was put on a back burner. An indept musical knowledge stood Steve in goodstead and whilst at Beechwood Steve has compiled albums which have sold in excess of 100,000 copies. As one half of the driving force behind the L'Apericlub series Steve has achieved even greater success acknowledged by his major involvement in future Bar de Lune releases in 03'.

Once settled in london it was'nt long before Steve was back behind the decks this time playing Rare groove and Funk. Since then Steve has become well know as a dj who plays only the very best in dance music what ever genre it might be and has gone on tour with labels such as Mastercuts and Bar de Lune. These tours and other events abroad have included gigs in Sweden, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Tokyo at the world famous Space lab yellow club.Steve has also
played at venue's such as The Fire station,Babushka,brb soho, Turnmills, The Cross,Pacha London,Pure Pacha at Pacha Ibiza and most recently Steve has finished an extensive tour in Mexico which included gigs on Red Radio,Horizonte 108, Exa FM, the Mazatlan Carnival and 2 venues in Mexico City.
